Hi Venessa,
I posted a comment on your Emergent By Design blog a month ago relating to the Junto. I would like to share some common thoughts with you.
My site is called the “Do Good Gauge”. Similar to Franklin’s Junto, the idea is to provide a support group for refining an idea to the highest potential. Each week Franklin’s Junto rotated members for presenting a topic of an individual choice. This provided each member twelve weeks to refine an argument. Measures of penalty were put in place preventing members from showing favor or disdain of an argument. Dialog was focused on perfecting the quality of the individuals thought.
My approach to capturing Franklin’s Junto is through internet technology. An individual is provided an essay development kit which provides revision and publication facilities. Readers who happen upon an essay can judge the quality of the essay on a five point scale. Readers can provide comments to the author as well. Unlike a blog, the purpose of the Do Good Gauge is to facilitate quality thought through essays. A reader can mark a comment as private, thus providing visibility only between the reader and the author. If a reader makes a comment public, the author can overrule the public comment private if the comment is deemed to take focus away from the intent of the essay.
Coaching is essential to the idea. A reader can subscribe as a coach of an essay. When a reader creates an account they identify academic areas of expertise: Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Journalism, Mathematics, Statistics, Philosophy, Psychology, Theology, … New releases of an essay could notify coaches to re-read an essay, re-score, and provide additional comments for the author. The author can also use information provided by the coaches to pin-point people to query specific questions for.

I don’t know how I came across Junto but it sent my on an odyssey now I have a severe case of afterburn and am Nashing my teeth in impatience and ignorance.
I have very deep need for something I have seen parts of brought into perspective from emergent by design.
What I am looking for is a combination of cogspace, perosnal brain and the 3d spherical mockup of your video on you tube
Its would be so perfect to be able to plot out an Internal Galaxy ins such an aesthetic way and be such a therapeutic tool and modeling device that I want to for me as well as to offer. To have this interactive on the web is beauty to me
I am a carpenter on the loose no claim to fame but my nose can smell the lead into a future worth living.

I think your cogspace is sacrament in its potential usage, merged with the

Please let me know if anything exists similar to cogspace with these attributes,

hi marc, i’m not sure that what you’re looking for exists yet. the pieces are still being put into place.
I have been talking this idea about money and undiscovered currency lately and it has a number to work with.
Profit percentage has been the criteria in how moneys are made available not the merits of an idea and now the rage over the bank bailouts as they shut down and foreclose on the small businesses and house holds that the only thing I see to correct is when people begin to return to sharing their expenses on small group numbers and there the difference in cost is seen as new currency as synergy has its way when things become smaller and more personal and less affected by large decisions made by others at a distance.
return to tribe is the economic formula. While in the days of affluence the the commodity of privacy could be afforded, it is now the need to find pleasure in human company for a longer duration for those privacy’s have become prison cells as people have lived with out the social context to become human, its a trait that needs to be recovered.
New currency can be seen here, it takes x amount of effort for one person to live and generally that’s a life of quiet desperation, two people together and the burden is less, three together and the difference in expenses can begin to be seen as profit until you reach the number of 27. within 27 people is an information sharing structure that can divide by nine and by three to have a number of groups to work a thought and come to a quicker knowing of the things needed for successful living.
There is an art to this that is dependent on a more effective psychology and way of modeling thought and it has to do with treating J.L Moreno as an undiscovered Tesla of psychology who invented the word Psychodrama to name his science
The old world depends on keeping people away from each other so they can be sold things to fill the void of what occurs when that happens, and to keep them ignorant of the things within themselves that can discover this truth.
